Expectations
Stay Active
We need your knowledge and experience on the forums. We find that engagement is important, and we are hoping that you’ll post a couple of times per day.
Stay on Topic
As you saw in the TGN Street Team Questionnaire, we also ask that you help us keep the Forums on topic by sticking to subjects you know will interest our Community, such as gardening, homesteading, and making and using home medicine. Choose the topic that you feel you are comfortable with and jump in!
Stay Positive
We ask all our TGN Street Team members to contribute to the positive, supportive spirit of our Community by being polite and avoiding the use of profanity in all forum communications. We are all here with the same goals and that’s to learn.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I have to create new posts or are replies okay?
A: New posts are great, but we happily encourage responses to others on the forum. Afterall, this is a discussion area where having feedback to provide is beneficial.
Q: The requirements of remaining a member is “posting” once or twice a day. Can you please elaborate on what constitutes as a post? For example, if I reply to an existing forum question, is that a post? Or does it mean I need to create my own post every day?
A: All post types count! Replies and new posts are encouraged. :)
Q: I have been reading on the forum now, and it appears that some people just post a comment in response to the topic, and others are responding to another post in particular - the prior 'poster's' name is in blue between the person making the post and the comment they make. How do you post a response to a particular person's comment?
A: To post a response, be sure you are logged into the forum. Scroll to the bottom and look for "Leave a Comment" and type your post there.
Q: If I want to answer the last comment in the thread, do I simply post in the comments box or is it necessary to @ the person so that the thread flows?
