Bug Repellent

Has anyone made the Bug Repellent or know where to go to see a video and instructions. My instructions don't make any sense and I am not the brightest bulb in the lamp anyway (have a hard time with written instructions). I did not have any oil left after putting everything in a crockpot for five hours. So how do I strain the oil out if not any left??
